It’s great to have friends and even more wonderful when they are all over the world—and you get to visit them! It so happens that my college roommate of three years and one of my most loved friends is from Greece. More specifically, her family lives in Voula, a town on the edge of the Saronic Gulf, across from the island of Aegina.

Every girl dreams about planning her wedding day—or so I was told—but I would never do it more than once….. The wedding was nice, but in 2008, I couldn’t wait to escape to my honeymoon, which was AWESOME—how could it not be when visiting Greece, Paris, and Spain?

Christmas 2020 – On a Personal Note

We are not having family or big reunions this Christmas, but we are having a good Christmas, albeit quiet. We have our health, thankfully, and a pretty Christmas tree. Two out of three fur babies are still with us and they seem to be enjoying their new “home” in Colorado, taking plenty of naps and snuggling with us.

Ciao, bella Italia (Venice)

The boat cut through the Adriatic sea waves as we headed to Venice, the heart of Veneto region. Even a grey and gloomy day couldn’t put too much of a damper on the intricate beauty of the old “City of Canals”.
