Niagara Falls – The Eighth Wonder of the World

Dating back around 12,000 years, Niagara Falls are the second largest in the world after Victoria Falls in South Africa. The Iroquois named the falls “Onguiaahra,” meaning “The Strait.” Channeling waters from four major lakes (Superior, Michigan, Huron and Erie), the expansive Niagara Falls features three main sections, each with its particular charm: The Canadian Horseshoe Falls, The American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls.
